Hi! I am sorry for my lack of blogging this summer! We have been busy - excuses, excuses :)
I want to thank everyone who prayed for my sweet grandaddy Raymond. He passed away in his sleep early in the morning on July 19th. As much, and as selfishly as I did not want to lose my grandaddy I did not want him to suffer. During one of my quiet times, I read this verse and I prayed this for my grandaddy - I found it so comforting. Here is the link to my blog about my grandaddy.
"I will take the sting away from your death with the blood of my son" (1 Corinthians 15:55f).
We loaded up the boys and drove to Dallas, Texas on Friday for the funeral, and drove back on Monday. Then, on Thursday, I had surgery to have my gallbladder removed. I did not want to have surgery but it really needed to be done. I am SO thankful to my family and friends for their prayers and encouraging words. I didn't have many symptoms, except I was having this pinching feeling on my side. There were several gallstones and the doctor believes it was caused by my pregnancies. Colt, his mom and my mom came and took care of me and the boys! I am SO thankful to them! I am feeling good now - the hardest part was not picking the boys up for a week.
The boys are doing great! They are growing up way too fast!
During my week of rest, my sweet husband surprised me with two books I have been wanting to read. I thought I would share this one - it's so good and full of scripture!
