My Sweet Grandaddy Raymond

My sweet grandaddy Raymond has been pretty sick and in and out of the hospital for about a month now. I got a phone call last Thursday afternoon that I needed to come see him. So, I booked a flight that night to fly out the next afternoon. I cannot put into words what I was feeling - I was pretty much an emotional mess. I wanted to get to him, but leaving the boys was so hard... especially, when Parker and Beckett where both hugging me and not letting me put either one of them down. Parker was saying "I want you MomMom, don't leave me." I cannot tell you how many times I cried that day.

When I arrived it was so good to see my family but I wish it was for different reasons. Seeing my grandaddy was really hard at first. He is one of the strongest men I know, and he has been more than just my grandaddy!

When I first arrived, I thought I was not going to be able to handle it.  I felt bad because I felt like I kept making everyone else cry.  But, after everyone left and he woke up, we just talked and talked. He is up all night - and he does not like to be alone and is nervous.  That was so heartbreaking to me - so I was right there with him . Physically, he was not well, but mentally he was so sharp!  The next day, he really perked up and had a great day! I left Sunday morning - I really did not want to leave. The only thing that made me come home was my three sweet blessings from God waiting for me.

My family and their friends are taking such sweet care of him. I am so thankful! I wanted to take pictures of how sweet and selfless everyone is - pure love.

Monday he went back to the hospital - I would like to ask you all to keep my grandaddy Raymond in your prayers! I want to write so much more - this blog is just not enough. I love him so much!!

Two New Blogs Below!

Allison's High School Graduation

Colt, the boys, and I headed to Memphis to celebrate Allison's High School graduation! We went to her Baccalaureate, a family party, and graduation. We were also able take the boys to the Memphis Zoo with Kyle and Evan and I had dinner with Kristen. It was a quick and busy trip!

I need to brag on Allison - Not only did she just graduate High School - She graduated with a 3.5 GPA - and she is receiving 3 scholarships!?! One of those scholarships is from the University of Memphis in their Emerging Leaders Program!! She had to put together a portfolio with an Essay and interview with a panel of people - I would have been so nervous at her age to do that. They only chose 25 freshmen out of the 350 (or something like that) who applied! I am SO proud if you cannot tell ;)

She has a busy summer ahead of her before she starts school. She is working, attending several required days at Memphis for her program and going on a mission trip. She will start college at the end of August! I am, of course, hoping I can go and help her move into her dorm :)

I am so proud of Allison and the woman she is becoming! She is my sister, my friend and the sweetest Aunt to my Boys! Colt, the boys and I love her so much!

iPhone Pictures and Updates

Mother's Day was a great day spent with just my guys! We went to church, lunch and spent the day together! Thankful to God that he chose me to be their Mommy and Colt's wife!
Parker's School has a big art show at the end of the year and he could not have been more proud and excited for Colt, Beckett and I to be there!! We were all SO proud of him - he was super cute! I loved watching Parker run around and talk to his friends and teachers he seemed so big!
I could not find any outdoor furniture that I liked so I came up with an idea to buy these cushions from World Market and I drew a picture for Colt and of course, he created something better than I could have imagined! And saved lots of money :)

 The boys loving on Tyson!
Parker and I went to Maci's 1st recital! Maci is really good - like REALLY good! Parker loved watching and was a good boy! He brought her pink flowers :)
