Hayes's 2nd Birthday Party!

About 2 weeks ago, Parker's sweet friend Hayes invited him to her 2nd birthday party at her new house! It was on a Thursday morning - perfect play date!! She had Mother Goose come and sing songs. It was super cute and fun! Parker loved it and loved Hayes's toys! Here are few pictures I took and a few I stole  from Amy's blog (Thanks Amy)!

The Circus

A few weeks ago, we bought tickets to the circus!  As it neared, we really wondered whether or not we should go since Parker had been sick all week... He is feeling better, but he is still not 100%.  Also, being so late, we were not sure how long he was going to make it.   Once we made to our seats - through the confusion of the ticket counter, will call, long lines, and concessions - we had a great time!!  Parker lasted the entire time and clapped a lot! Here are a few pictures!

Hit... Again...

So, Tuesday started off GREAT! We found out the sex of our sweet baby BooTwo!!!!!! I will be writing a post on that once we have BooTwo's name finalized.  Unfortunately, our week went a little different from there...

Tuesday:
Colt's mom was watching Parker while Colt and I were at the doctor's office. When we arrived home she told us he had vomited several times... My poor sweet boy!  So, throughout the rest of the day we had many more vomiting episodes and a pitiful little boy.

Wednesday:
By Wednesday morning I started worrying when he hit the 24 hour mark... I call the doctor's office and they gave me a few things to do and watch for and he seemed to be getting better....

Thursday:
At 1AM, it started all OVER - throwing up every 30 minutes. I started panicking - so I called the on-call nurse and she said to do a teaspoon of liquids every 5 minutes for an hour. By the way this is at 4:30AM. So, by 5:30 he kept everything down and went to sleep! The nurse said he should be getting better now.... THANKFULLY at 7AM Colt's mom arrived to take over - as soon as she arrived Colt began vomiting - OH MY! Luckily, Colt was not near as sick as Parker.  So while Mrs. Byrom had Parker - Colt and I slept on and off till about 12:30 - cannot remember the last time we were in bed till 12:30.

Once I got up, I ate and showered and I was ready to go!  Mrs. Byrom went to get a few groceries for us.  I cleaned and did laundry while the guys slept most of the day. At about 4PM Parker woke up and I gave him a sip of water and right back up it came - PANICKED!  I called the Doctors office as they were about to close and she asked, 'can you be here in 5 minutes?'  So, Parker and I just BOOKED it to the office in our PJs... I don't even want to know what we looked like. We saw a pediatrician (not our regular) and he was SO sweet and concerned and really checked Parker out and gave me good instructions. Liquids every hour (no matter what)!!! He said this would keep him from getting dehydrated and keep us out of the E.R. -  I did just what he told me and it was not easy getting him to take the fluids.

Friday:
Colt's mom arrived again to relive me at 7AM - I was able to get a little rest and shower before we headed back to the doctor's office. When I came into the den Parker was a new person! My baby was walking and "talking"!! He still is not 100% but feels a lot better. We got to see our pediatrician who is WONDERFUL!!! She was so sweet and wants us to keep him on liquids today and introduce bland foods tomorrow. Colt is also doing much better - he is not 100% but getting there. I am just praying I do not get this so I can take care of my guys and our sweet baby BooTwo!! Thank you to everyone who called and emailed checking on us! I really appreciate it!

How sad is this:( Waiting for the Doctor...

Orlando, here we come...

So after a crazy hospital weekend and a snow day the next day we were off with Colt's parents to Orlando, FL for the International Builders Show. I was so excited about going because it was going to be Parker's 1st time to Disney World, my 1st Homebuilders Conference, College Nationals, and spending time with friends and family! Unfortunately, there was a little change of plans...

After we arrived in Orlando, we had lunch and walked around Downtown Disney. Then we checked into our hotel, and as we started to unpack, Parker vomited all over our suitcase.  Colt and I were in shock - we did not know what to do.   We thought it may have been the plane ride and the traveling, because he started acting normal, took a nap, and was in a great mood.  We were invited to eat dinner with and decided to go.  Boy were we wrong... at the end of the very nice dinner... projectile vomit... I felt AWFUL!!! I felt like a bad parent for having Parker out late and was praying no one got sick at dinner!!

The next day I stayed in with Parker all day and we had a nice day.  He went 24 hours without throwing up and again seemed great so we decided to take him to the Harry Potter Theme Park - Alagasco invited us for dinner and rides - the park was closed to the public and we had it all to ourselves!  I was SO excited about this because I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan!! I walked through the Harry Potter park in awe. I LOVED IT!! The first thing I did was get a butter beer (NO alcohol) - it was so yummy and better than I expected;) After Colt got to ride the roller coasters, we went back to the hotel and put Parker to bed... we had made it through the day, he was better!!  Or not, as he was falling asleep, he threw up again?!?! Ok, now I really feel like the worse parent ever!!!

Thursday, we were scheduled to eat breakfast with the Disney characters at were then going to Disney World for the day.  However, we canceled the day not knowing how Parker was going to feel. It was a good thing we did, Parker got sick again when we woke up. POOR guy!! Thursday was the worst day, he actually looked and acted like he felt bad.  It was nice having Colt and his parents the whole day to help entertain.

Friday morning rolls around and we have been another 24 hour period without Parker getting sick!  I decided to keep Parker in the hotel for the day just in case he got sick again. Colt's mom stayed in with Parker so Shannon and I could visit and watch the Alabama Cheerleaders practice!! We had a great time visiting with everyone and it brought back some fun memories! Shannon and I were thinking if we weren't pregnant we could still do the pyramids;) We were not able to see them compete but they WON Nationals!! I think it is the 1st time since 1982!?! Shannon and I had lunch and had so much fun spending time together.  It was nice not having to rush and being able to enjoy the day! When we got back, Parker and Colt's mom were ready to get out and walk around the hotel grounds! We walked around and sat by the pool and enjoyed the beautiful weather! After Colt and his dad got back from the conference, they joined us and we got some ice cream by the pool! We took a late nap and then ended our trip with dinner at Margaritaville. It was a yummy dinner!

Parker was so good even though he did not feel well! He is a pro traveler and did great flying! He even has his own luggage! We had a great time considering it did not go quite as planned;) Also, we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel - thankfully it was SO nice and they had a laundry service and room service - it saved the trip!

I am SO sorry for all of the long blogs - I just feel like I cannot leave anything out!
