Beckett is coming!!

So, I went to the doctor for my weekly visit and my blood pressure was high :(
I had an ultrasound and was monitored in Labor and Delivery and had my blood taken. After all of my results came back, my doctor decided that it was time for this sweet boy to come!  Of course, I started crying when she told me... twice! Once was in sweet Lindsey's office (Ultrasound Tech) when Dr. Derosier told me it might be time... and then in L&D when she told me it was time!  I was really emotional for a few reasons;  worried about Beckett coming at 37 weeks, worried about my blood pressure and most of all, I did not get to tell Parker goodbye when I left him at his Khaki's house (I snuck out). So, being the awesome doctor that she is - she gave me an hour and a half to go home, get my bags and LOVE on Parker. Parker was of course having a ton of fun at Khaki's and played with Colt and I for a little while and gave us kisses on the lips!

Now, we are all checked into the hospital. Colt's parents brought Molly and Parker up to see us and bring us dinner. Now, Colt and I are catching up with phone calls, emails and resting.

Dr. Derosier is coming to break my water at 6AM!  Please say a prayers that Beckett is healthy and Labor and delivery goes smoothly! Thank you for all of the prayers and sweet emails and messages! We cannot wait to meet our sweet baby boy Beckett and give him LOTS of LOVE!!!

Beckett's Nursery!

I am so excited to share these pictures of Beckett's nursery! The only thing missing is Beckett himself!  I love that both boys have their own individual rooms.  Colt and I talked about what we wanted for his nursery and Colt worked SO hard on it! He did most of it as a surprise for me while I was out of town. He made the letters, picture frames and the artwork over his bed! He also bought the chandelier and lamp at an antique store and fixed them. I have a talented husband who never ceases to amaze and surprise me! I am a proud wife if you have not already noticed!!

Here is the link to see Parker's nursery if you've never seen it.

This was Parker's rocker and his monogram is still on the other side of the cover!

It was so great spending time with them! McWane has been an escape from the heat! Parker's new favorite thing to play with was the blue sand! He LOVED it!

Fun Weekend and Sweet Surprise!

Colt, Parker and I had a great productive weekend. We are in FULL nesting mode preparing for our sweet Beckett's arrival! We are cleaning, organizing and spending as much time as we can as a family of three!

Friday afternoon, we had the best surprise from Memphis, TN! Mrs. Jennifer and her sweet husband and son were at Homewood High School! Grant, her son plays baseball for Christian Brothers High School and we got to watch him play! It was so great seeing and visiting with them! They are the sweetest family! I babysat for both of her son's and now they are both so grown! Joshua is getting married this winter and Grant is a senior! I feel old!

Saturday afternoon, Colt and I took Parker to McWane Science Center. We want to continue to have  these special times as a family of three until Beckett arrives. Parker was SO excited when we got there!! He played so hard! He loves the fish and points at them saying "ish" "ish"! It is really cute! It was a great trip until a "big" kid literally ran over Parker and knocked him so hard he hit his face and luckily only got a scratch. It pretty much ended our trip... I know it was an accident but I was really mad at that kid and the parent...did he not know it was Parker's special day :)

Sunday, we went to church and then to lunch with Colt's parents. We napped and headed over to Colt's parents house to meet Ami and Maci to have a photo shoot with Aunt Molly! We had the babies in matching Alabama outfits! They were so cute but did not really cooperate for Molly;)  Once they warmed up to each other, they were so sweet playing together!

I hope you all are having a great week!!

Silly Parker

Parker is so silly these days! We have been having a lot of fun playing. Of course he can still throw some really great fits. But, overall he is a sweet and silly boy! I am trying to soak in all of these moments with him while he is still an "only" child.  I know he will not remember, but Colt and I want to make these last moments of our family of three special for him! He is really into "laundry" and taking on and off his clothes. He loves finding clothes, towels and really anything else he can try on his head for that matter. It is so funny - especailly when I found him with my hot pink bra around his neck! His daddy did not think it was so funny;) The other night I saw on his video monitor he had taken off his pants so I went in his room to look and you could tell he had tried to put them back on! So funny!

Today, we also had fun finger painting. I had no idea what I was getting myself into - he LOVED it and wanted more and more paint. I am so glad we chose to do it outside.

I LOVE this little boy more and more everyday! Here are some funny pictures and videos. I hope you enjoy!

Beckett is 36 Weeks!!

Beckett is 36 Weeks, and I started my weekly Dr. appointments this past Tuesday. I have dilated 1 centimeter and we started talking about the birth "plan". I was induced with Parker and Dr. Derosier asked me what I would like to do this time around... and of course, I said I want to be induced again!!  I love to think of myself as a "planner" - although I know I have no control at all - God has it all and sometimes I need to be reminded of that.  I LOVED my experience with Parker and I am praying for another beautiful experience with our sweet boy Beckett! But, I am totally ok if he decides to come on his own and I would love for him to pick his own birthday!

I cannot believe the official countdown is ON! Dr. Derosier is planning to induce me on Tuesday, July 12th! We are so excited about welcoming Beckett to our family of three! We cannot wait to love on Beckett and introduce him to Parker!! Mine and Colt's new favorite phrase is "the boys" - we have been saying it all of the time! I love that I am going to be surrounded by my three guys!! I am blessed woman!

I do have to admit that I am anxious - I worry about Beckett and myself during labor and delivery, and I also worry about Parker while I'm in the hospital.   I had some of the same anxieties at this time during my first pregnancy. I just keep praying, praying, praying! I know God has the perfect plan and is taking care of our family. If you could please pray for us over the next few weeks, I would really appreciate it!!

Father's Day!

Sorry, for the lack of blogging last week! Here are two new posts!

Father's Day started with an early wakeup from Parker. We let daddy sleep in and I cooked a yummy homemade breakfast! I made scrambled eggs, bacon and waffles! I also made it a candlelit breakfast - I mean... have you ever heard of a candlelit breakfast? I have to say it was yummy!

We headed to church and I got to walk sweet baby James Watson Kennedy out for his dedication!  Then, we headed to Gardendale Baptist Church to watch Branson get Baptized! I feel so special to be a part of both of these boys special days!

Next, we ate lunch, took a nap and had a yummy dinner at Colt's parents house!  I got both grandfather's and Colt 'doodlebug prints' with Parker's footprints and Colt made the picture frame for them! We ended the night with a grill gift for daddy from Parker and Beckett! We had a great day!!

Aunt Allison and Aunt Michele

My sisters, Allison and Michele stayed with Colt and I for the week! It was so great having them here and I love that they love spending time with Colt, Parker and I! They were SO helpful with Parker. He loves them and they love him and are still "fighting" over him.  We did a lot of cooking, had dinners with Colt's family, went to the pool and shopping, went to the McWane Science Center with Melanie, Abby,  Jenna, Cooper and Maggie and they even helped organize Beckett's closet!! We also had a fun photo shoot with Lindsey Walker, who does Beckett's ultrasounds, and is also very talented at taking pictures of babies outside of the womb;) She was so nice to take pictures of our family and add our pictures to her Facebook page of her samples!! My dad came in town at the end of the week to get the girls and spend some time with us and to celebrate an early Father's Day!
Most of my pictures are from my iPhone.
