Getting us HOME!

I feel like I have so much I want to write about... but I am going to 'try' and give the shortened version...

Colt and I are just in awe over our sweet Beckett! God is so GREAT!! Thank you SO much for your prayers.  I was worried about him being delivered at 37 weeks and if he was ready - he could not have been more ready or more perfect! He is so sweet and we cannot give him enough love!! 

Labor and delivery went wonderful... but after delivery instead of my blood pressure going back down to normal, it started going up... My doctor even had me stay in the hospital an extra day and a half... and let me tell you that was SO stressful!!! I am on medication to lower my blood pressure, and I'm taking it easy at home and I go back Friday morning to have it checked again.  I would REALLY appreciate your prayers that my blood pressure has gone down and that I would not be so anxious about it.

Parker did great while we were at the hospital!! We have never spent the night away from him so four nights was a long time for his Mama;) But, he did great and got SO much love and attention! I am very thankful for all of his grandparents! He also spent a lot of time at the hospital with us and was so good and sweet! I was so surprised that he was not a crazy man there:) He is already the best big brother is so sweet and gentle with his baby brother! I love seeing them together!! 

We are so thankful to be at home with our boys!! I will blog more on that soon!

Beckett is HERE! God is SO good and Colt and I feel so blessed! Labor and delivery went great! I was induced around 7AM and he arrived at 12:48PM. He is perfect! Weighing 6 pounds and 2 ounces and he is 20 inches long. 

We are so thankful for all of your thoughts, prayers and support!

Beckett is coming!!

So, I went to the doctor for my weekly visit and my blood pressure was high :( 

I had an ultrasound and was monitored in Labor and Delivery and had my blood taken. After all of my results came back, my doctor decided that it was time for this sweet boy to come!  Of course, I started crying when she told me... twice! Once was in sweet Lindsey's office (Ultrasound Tech) when Dr. Derosier told me it might be time... and then in L&D when she told me it was time!  I was really emotional for a few reasons;  worried about Beckett coming at 37 weeks, worried about my blood pressure and most of all, I did not get to tell Parker goodbye when I left him at his Khaki's house (I snuck out). So, being the awesome doctor that she is - she gave me an hour and a half to go home, get my bags and LOVE on Parker. Parker was of course having a ton of fun at Khaki's and played with Colt and I for a little while and gave us kisses on the lips! 

Now, we are all checked into the hospital. Colt's parents brought Molly and Parker up to see us and bring us dinner. Now, Colt and I are catching up with phone calls, emails and resting. 

Dr. Derosier is coming to break my water at 6AM!  Please say a prayers that Beckett is healthy and Labor and delivery goes smoothly! Thank you for all of the prayers and sweet emails and messages! We cannot wait to meet our sweet baby boy Beckett and give him LOTS of LOVE!!!

Beckett is 36 Weeks!!

Beckett is 36 Weeks, and I started my weekly Dr. appointments this past Tuesday. I have dilated 1 centimeter and we started talking about the birth "plan". I was induced with Parker and Dr. Derosier asked me what I would like to do this time around... and of course, I said I want to be induced again!!  I love to think of myself as a "planner" - although I know I have no control at all - God has it all and sometimes I need to be reminded of that.  I LOVED my experience with Parker and I am praying for another beautiful experience with our sweet boy Beckett! But, I am totally ok if he decides to come on his own and I would love for him to pick his own birthday!

I cannot believe the official countdown is ON! Dr. Derosier is planning to induce me on Tuesday, July 12th! We are so excited about welcoming Beckett to our family of three! We cannot wait to love on Beckett and introduce him to Parker!! Mine and Colt's new favorite phrase is "the boys" - we have been saying it all of the time! I love that I am going to be surrounded by my three guys!! I am blessed woman!

I do have to admit that I am anxious - I worry about Beckett and myself during labor and delivery, and I also worry about Parker while I'm in the hospital.   I had some of the same anxieties at this time during my first pregnancy. I just keep praying, praying, praying! I know God has the perfect plan and is taking care of our family. If you could please pray for us over the next few weeks, I would really appreciate it!!

Beckett is 26 Weeks!

Beckett is a growing boy and I am a growing Mama! 

I am loving my belly and LOVE feeling all of his movements! 

He is a busy boy already - just like his big brother! My last doctors appointment went great! 

We are praying for our sweet Beckett to keep growing - we cannot wait to meet him!!!

Sweet Baby Beckett!

We got to see sweet baby Beckett today -he is 19 weeks!! Ultrasounds are so amazing! He looked just like Parker did - his arms and legs were crossed and he would kick the ultrasound wand:)  He looked so comfy and laid back! Colt and I were in awe... and SO in LOVE!!! We feel so blessed and excited about him joining our family!

Our appointment went great!  I did not gain any weight in a month - which is fine because I gained plenty in the 1st 15 weeks! I will have my blood taken and sugar test next month.

We LOVE our Doctor and Sonographer (and everyone else there too)!! They are all SO great if you ever need or are looking for a new doctor - she is the BEST!  I took them thank you cookies today from Icing on the Cookie - BEST cookies ever! I got them 'baby boy themed' in honor of Beckett! They are so great to me so I wanted to give them a little something to say thank you.

One Year Ago - February 22, 2009

One year ago today, Colt and I found out we were pregnant! What an amazing night that was... it seems like it was just yesterday. Getting pregnant was a journey that at the time seemed long and difficult. How perfect is God's timing for our lives, I thank God everyday for Parker!

Checked In and Ready!!

We arrived at the hospital at 4:00 this afternoon. They are preparing Ashley for labor and delivery and will induce at 6:30 in the morning! Tonight, Ash's mom, my parents, and Jenna came by to check on us and bring us dinner. We also celebrated Ash's birthday with some cookies, cupcakes, and gifts (we thought she might get trumped tomorrow by Parker's 'birth'day). It would be nice to get some sleep tonight since we (mainly Ash) have got a long, exhausting day tomorrow. But with all of the anxious & nervous excitement, I seriously doubt that we will! Please continue to keep us in your prayers, we will keep you posted.

News from the Doctor!

Parker is 39 weeks today!! We are so blessed that he has made it this far! Colt and I went to see Dr. Derosier today - have I mentioned that she is wonderful!!! Parker is still measuring small but she monitored him again and said he looks great! She is having us come back in on Monday morning to do an ultrasound and wants to induce Tuesday, October 27th! That is my birthday! What a wonderful birthday present to meet my little boy for the first time. I cannot even imagine all of the emotions and feelings that I will have when I see his sweet face for the first time!

Colt and I cannot wait! Our days of just the two of us and the dogs are numbered. This pregnancy has gone by so fast, I am trying to soak up every minute of it! I am praying that labor and delivery will go smoothly and that our little boy is healthy!

The Waiting Game!

Colt and I are so excited about Parker's arrival! We went to the doctor yesterday and we got to have another ultrasound! He is so funny - every ultrasound, he has had his little hands in fists covering his face. We cannot wait to see that sweet face! I also got a Contraction Stress Test done. I got monitored and I was having contractions but they were painless - so we got to go home. Thank goodness... I got really anxious in labor and delivery! Colt and I go back to the Doctor on Friday. I will keep you all posted!!

So after several people have requested I am finally starting a blog! I will do my best to keep it updated with pictures! This will also be a good way for everyone to stay posted on our little man and what is going on in the Byrom household.

Our Pregnancy Journey:

We feel so blessed! We tried for almost a year to get pregnant. With lots of prayers, Colt's support and the help of my wonderful Doctor, our prayers were answered!! I had lots of blood work, was put on Clomid to stimulate ovulation and had an HSG done. We will never forget the night we got our positive pregnancy test!

I have had a wonderful pregnancy! I love being pregnant! The best part about being pregnant is feeling Parker move around. I feel like he is saying "Hey mom! I am doing great!"

Colt and I are very excited about Parker's arrival! We are 14 days away from his due date! We have his room all ready and all of our bags packed for the hospital. I am praying he gets to chose his own birthday. We cannot wait to see, hold and love on him!!

Colt and I want to thank our family and friends for their prayers, love and support during this special time in our lives. We feel daily blessed to have such a great support system! We know that Parker is already so loved!
