Safe Side

If you saw the video from my last blog, you know that Parker is very close to crawling. He is also close to pushing himself up to the sitting position! So to be on the safe side, we have lowered his mattress. He has not noticed the change but I have! For those of you who do not know me, I am not quite 5 feet tall, so it is kinda hard getting him out of his crib when it is at its lowest level. I have to stand on my tiptoes to reach over the rail and pick him up. After we had moved the mattress down today, Colt put me to the test and put Parker into one of the far corners and asked, "Can you get him now?" Well, I know how to use my resources... I got on my tiptoes, leaned over the bed, grabbed the fabric of Parker's onesie and slid him to the middle of the bed and then picked him up! I showed Colt;) Trust me a Mommy can figure out how to get to her baby!

Before we lowered the bed. Yes he is asleep! Do not worry I moved him.

A Few Firsts

This week, we have had several "firsts" at our house! Parker is getting up on all fours and he is so close to crawling! Tonight, he took his first big boy bath! We also made homemade organic baby food... I am still in shock myself! Thanks to my friend Leslie for motivating me to try it and for the directions! I made carrots and it was so easy - Parker loved them! I have put the instructions at the bottom of the blog. Please let me know if you try it and how it turns out!
This might motivate you to give it a shot: I bought organic carrots (just a few) for 1.29$, and it made 14 small meals! The small organic baby jars at Publix are 1.29 a piece!!

Almost Crawling!

How To Make Homemade Baby Food:
1. Wash and peel carrots/or other vegetables
2. Boil carrots till they are soft (Keep water, you may need to add some to help consistency)
3. Put carrots in the food processor till completely pureed
4. Put into ice cube trays (same amount as a small baby food jars)
5. Cover and freeze
6. Pop out and heat (under hot water in bag or covered bowl)

Happy Birthday Aunt Casey!

Aunt Casey gave Parker an Ugly Doll (the blue one-Big Toe) so Parker wanted to give her an Ugly Doll (the orange one-OX) for her Birthday ! Here is a picture of Parker with both Ugly Dolls before we mailed it to Aunt Casey! Happy Birthday Aunt Casey we hope you have a wonderful day filled with lots of love! We miss you!

Colt spiked Parker's hair before leaving for work... so I thought I needed to make sure his Polo collar was popped.. you know, to go with the hair! I think it is SO cute! He looks like a big boy!

Last Weekend Fun and Parker's 1st Easter!

Sorry, it has taken me so long to post this we were having internet issues last week.

Last weekend was a big weekend for Parker! Parker and I went with with our neighbors to the ABC 33/40 Easter Egg Hunt! Parker was on TV and it was a lot of fun! Then, Daddy put up Parker's big boy swing outside - and he loves it!

Saturday was Cooper's 2nd Birthday Party - I cannot believe he is already 2 years old! Jenna and Chris bought him a bouncy house and Parker loved it! We played with him in there and he was laughing and talking, it was so cute! We will be borrowing it for Parker's 1st Birthday! That night we surprised Cooper with a birthday cupcake and a gift! We love that little boy SO much!

Parker's 1st Easter was wonderful! The Easter Bunny came a brought Parker a white Polo outfit, Fish book, and bath toy! The Easter Bunny also hid Easter eggs for Parker to find! We went to church and then to Ganny's for lunch with the family. Parker got to play with his cousin Maci!
