Saying Goodbye...

Of course, you know me we had to leave our house with a party :) And what better way than to celebrate Ganny's birthday and have our "goodbye to the house" party! It was so nice having everyone over (even Casey and Austin were there.) It was so fun just listening to all of the laughter in the house and the kiddos running around! I had Concina Superior cater and it was delicious!!

Moving, Renting and Building

Our family has had some big changes happen over the last few weeks - the reason for my lack of blogging lately!

Colt, decided back in May that we were going to put our house on the market to see what would happen (I was at the beach)... I really did not tell anyone or make a big deal about it because we had NO plan of what we were going to do if it sold. I told Colt he had 2 months because showing the house is not easy with two toddlers and a huge dog that weighs more than me... and has bad legs - I wish someone had got me on video loading him in the car... I bet it was hilarious! Plus, we LOVE our house so the thought of leaving was so hard! And for a planner like me, having no plan was hard to wrap my head around!

Long story short, we sold our house to a sweet couple and we had to be out by August 11th! We have been praying a lot throughout this process and we are so excited about this new chapter in our lives! We have moved into a rental house and are starting the process of building a new home!! Thank goodness I know the best builder in Birmingham :)

We have been blessed with this amazing opportunity - I cannot tell you how excited and nervous I am all at the same time. It is a lot to take on financially and with two young and busy boys... I am trying not to worry and just enjoy the process! I will try and keep you posted!

107 Oglesby Ave... Our 1st house that we bought together, the house we came home to after our honeymoon, the house we brought our babies home too!! The house Colt worked so hard on - remodeling and adding on, laying all of our beautiful wood floors and so much more... We love our cute house and will miss it! We have so many wonderful memories with our family and friends there.

A few more iPhone pictures

Here are a few more iPhone pictures over the last few weeks! I am slowly but surely trying to get my blog/family journal all caught up!

My sweet husband had a 'ground breaking' party for a family he is about to build a house for... He had several of the neighbors call him over the past few months to complain about 'when' the brick wall was coming down. The wall had been left there for about 4 years after a house fire and several people had bought and sold the lot but never rebuilt on it. Colt invited the whole street and had BBQ and the family had a chance to meet their new neighbors. Colt, the boys and I had fun too!

Parker is a big helper now! I am LOVING his age!! An update on Parker coming soon!

"Just Me and You Buddy..."

Colt and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary on August 6th!!
It seems like just yesterday we started dating almost 11 years ago!! So, much has happened over the past 7 years but our biggest and most precious blessings are our two beautiful boys!!

We celebrated our anniversary with a dinner at Gian Marcos, yummy! Colt, gave me a few gifts I have been wanting - cute shoes and a new bible. I got him a 'golf night' with three of his friends. I asked Colt to take a picture of his night for my blog but of course he did not ;)... Apparently they were too busy having SO much fun! Colt got home at midnight and was so excited to tell me about his night! He works so hard at work and at home so, I am so glad he got to have a fun night and relax!!

I am so thankful to God for Colt he is truly a blessing from God!

Adventure's of Beckett Byrom

I am so sorry for my lack of blogging! I promise lots of updates are coming soon! My first update....

My sweet sweet BUSY BUSY Beckett boy!

Pictures below do not even do him justice ;)

He has changed and grown SO much after turning one! He is SO sweet but SO SO busy and has lots of opinions. He will somehow quietly get into everything but if you try and stop him he will get so upset and have a meltdown. He will want you to put him down and then meltdown because you are not holding him... he can be confusing! He is still of course a mommy's boy but he is now a big time daddy's boy! When he sees Colt walk through the door, it is priceless because he is so excited and if Colt picks up Parker 1st - he will start melting down... so Colt usually has both boys in his arms or both boys are trying to get to him at once... I try to jump in his arms sometimes too :)

Beckett LOVES Parker, he wants to do whatever his big brother is doing! It can be very cute and annoying to Parker and sometimes for Colt and I too :) They are so sweet to each other one minute - kissing, hugging and sharing - and then in the blink of an eye they are yelling and pushing! My prayer is that as they grow up that they always love each other and are each other's BEST friend! I tell them that several times a day - "Be sweet, that is your brother and best friend"

I took Beckett to the Doctor last week for his one year checkup and he is growing great!

His stats: Weight - 21 Pounds, Height - 28.5 inches

(Parker's stats at a year: Weight 18.7 Pounds, Height 28.5 inches)

The visit went great and Beckett was having the time of his life playing, climbing, crawling and touching EVERYTHING! My faithful followers know that I am kinda of weird about germs - I was internally freaking out and antibacterial'ing' his whole body the whole time. But, I did really enjoy my time with him and we did not stop laughing. See pictures below...

The title of my blog is how I feel about my sweet Beckett "What 'adventure' is he going to go on today?" I love his quiet sweet spirit and his loud adventurousness - confusing but that is our Beckett! We love our sweet Beckett SO much!!

I am sorry for my lack of blogging!

There is so much updating I need to do... but for now, here are a ton of pictures!

This picture is from the beach - Colt and Pawpaw took Parker to "workout" which is what Parker thinks Daddy does all day ;) Anyways, Parker is "helping" Michele in her dressing room by climbing in and out... it was so funny!
