Colt and I woke up in our own bed on Christmas morning for the 1st time since we have been married. It was was so nice! We got up and started cooking breakfast. Then, Parker got up to see what Santa brought him - it was a lot of fun!! He was more interested in Santa's half eaten/overnight cookies more than his toys;) Parker got the Cow Rocker and Animal Stacker from Pottery Barn Kids, Cars, Truck, Bubble Lawn Mower, book, clothes and a few other things. My gift to Colt was a 4 Month membership to Iron Tribe Fitness - Cossfit. He is SO excited and I am excited for him!
Colt's parents and sisters came over to see what Parker got from Santa and to eat breakfast. I made everything from scratch! I made an egg, sausage and hash-brown casserole, Cel Bailey's cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, ham, biscuits and fruit. It was yummy and fun to host our first Christmas breakfast and starting our own little family traditions with Parker.
After breakfast Colt, Parker and I took a nap. When we got up, it was snowing so we went out and played in the snow - a WHITE CHRISTMAS - FUN! We came in and played with Parker's new toys and then took another nap! It was a great and relaxing day for just the 3 of us and the dogs!
For dinner we went over to Colt's Parents house for dinner and gifts. Santa came to Khaki and Pawpaw's house too! We were SO spoiled this year with love and gifts! Parker got a table and chairs from Pottery Barn Kids - I LOVE IT!! He also got a lot of the "B" toys from Target - he LOVES all of his new toys! He was very entertained for the rest of the night. Colt got an iPad! Casey made Colt all 6 seasons of the Wonder Years on DVD - it was very thoughtful and was really nice. I got gift cards, a Christmas China stand from Pottery Barn, sheets and a shirt. We also all three had stockings too!
It was a wonderful Christmas season! It started in Dallas, then Memphis and ended in Birmingham. Colt and I want to thank all of our family and friends for a wonderful Christmas! We are truly blessed and filled with God's love. We are also blessed that we live in a country where we can worship freely! I hope everyone remembered the reason for the season!
