Colt's Weekend Stay at the Hospital

So, needless to say while Colt was in the hospital it was a busy/crazy/stressful weekend for us. Luckily Jamie and Stephen were on their way in town to stay with us for the weekend. They were coming to help out with Maggie's first birthday party! About 30 minutes before they arrived, we found out Colt was going to have to go to the hospital. So, I put Parker down to bed and packed Colt a bag and when Jamie and Stephen arrived, I hugged them and left.... Jamie went to Jenna's to help setup for the party (I was suppose to go) and Stephen stayed at our house while Parker slept.  Later that night we found out Colt was getting admitted into the hospital to stay over night.

I stayed with Colt until about 6:30 Saturday morning and left to get home before Parker woke up. Colt's dad came to stay with Colt while I was gone. I washed my face put on new clothes and make up, got Parker up, and fed.  Then I "briefed" Jamie on Parker's day and went back to the hospital to wait on the doctor to come by. After the doctor came, I left Colt with his mom and came home to nap and shower - I was working on less than 2 hours of sleep. God was giving me the strength and energy to keep going.... I decided to take Parker to the hospital to spend a few hours with Colt before he went to bed. Parker was SO good just hanging out... it was like he knew he needed to be good.  After Parker and I left the hospital, we ran by Maggie's birthday party - Parker could not miss his girlfriend's 1st birthday party!! We came home and I put Parker to bed and left him with Jamie and Stephen. While I was gone, sweet Justin and Melinda stopped by the hospital to see Colt and spent some time with him.

When I got back to the hospital, Colt and I tried to stay awake and watch SNL -because Casey and Austin were in the audience -but we did not last long! I slept SO good for about 4 hours in a "chair/bed".

Sunday morning, I woke up and came home at 6:30 again and waited on Parker to get up.  Colt's dad went to stay with Colt again and was able to stay for the rest of the day so Jamie and Stephen could go home and I could get our house and laundry back in order. There was a "snow storm" coming!

Thankfully, God was watching over Colt and our family! Thankfully, Colt was able to come home and is doing great! Thankfully, Jamie and Stephen were here at our house all weekend and love Parker! And thankfully, we have great and supportive family and friends. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!!
