New Years Eve

New Years Eve was such a fun day! Jamie and Stephen came in town to stay with us and Jamie, Parker and I went and did some shopping for Maggie! We came back and Stephen and I prepared steak and chicken kabobs (Stephen had to redo my kabobs to make them look better!) The most anticipated part of the day was Parker and Evan Wilson's play date - Parker had been waiting ALL day to finally meet his new best bud! Justin, Melinda and Evan finally arrived and we ate our kabobs. We had such a good time hanging out and loving on the boys! They were so in sync with each other; both boys woke up at the same time ready to eat, both spit up during our photo shoot, and then both were wide awake for a long time after that!

Parker's Texas Family

My cousins Debie, Ryan and Kyle came from Dallas, Texas to visit Parker! We had a really good time hanging out and loving on Parker! We did a little shopping, a lot of eating, and Kyle got plenty of rest! The boys worked out, played basketball, and we all watched movies and football on tv. I actually can't believe we let such big Texas fans stay in our house. The last night, they taped Texas signs all over our house as a joke - Colt says it will be payback enough when Alabama wins next week ;)

My grandparents and my Aunt pat from Dallas, Texas visited Parker in November when he was just 3 weeks old. There was a lot going on around Thanksgiving so I never got to post a blog about their visit. We had a wonderful time and Parker got tons of love! Below are some pictures from their visit - you can see big he has gotten!

Maggie Katherine Bailey

Maggie Katherine Bailey is here! She was born yesterday December 29th at 1:00 and she weighed 4 pounds 4 ounces and has a full head of beautiful brown hair, I am so in love with her! Jenna is doing awesome and of course she looks fabulous, you wouldn't even know she had a baby!

Maggie is in the NICU but she is doing great! She is in her own bed and eating like a champ! They are hoping she will get to go home tomorrow or at least in the next few days! Maggie has a genetic disorder that the doctor's think might be Brittle Bone Disease; they should know within a month or two. Please continue to pray for Maggie and that she would have the best outcome possible. If she is diagnosed with this disease, pray that it would be a very mild form.

Jenna Bailey is checking into the hospital today and getting induced around 7Am. Please keep the Bailey's in your prayers! I cannot wait to meet sweet Maggie!

Christmas Day!

Parker had a wonderful first Christmas! It was a busy, fun-filled day! First, we woke up at Mimi and Pops's house and went to see what Santa had brought for Parker! It was so fun looking at and playing with all of his toys. The first thing he did was to knock down the blocks Santa had stacked! Then we ate lunch with my family and jumped in the car to drive back to Birmingham for Christmas dinner. Santa came to Khaki and Papaw's house too! Parker loves all of his toys - especially the ones with lights and music!!

Colt and I want to thank our families for making this a special Christmas for us! We really appreciate all of the thoughtful gifts!

Christmas Eve

Today is Parker's first Christmas Eve! We have had a great day resting and relaxing at my parents house. Earlier, Grandaddy Jere came over for lunch, and tonight we celebrated at my Mamaw and Papaw's house! We had a delicious dinner and a great time opening gifts! Now, it's getting late and we have to go to bed so Santa can come! I hope everyone has had a wonderful day and is remembering the reason for the season!

Preggo Friend Update:

Good news, Jenna Bailey was able to go home from the hospital! The doctors are still planning to induce next week, I will keep you posted!

Gearing up for Christmas Day!

We are getting ready to celebrate Parker's first Christmas! Parker has been a busy guy over the last few days - he has made special appearances at the Byrom Building Christmas breakfast, Byrom Family dessert night, and Molly's 18th birthday dinner at Highlands Bar and Grill! Now, we are in Memphis with my family and he has gotten to see and meet some of my friends! It has been a crazy week! Parker has done great so far and has slept through most of it! What a good boy!

Preggo Friend Update:

Jenna Bailey is getting checked into the hospital tonight to try and increase her amniotic fluid level. If it does not increase to where it needs to be, she will be induced tomorrow - Christmas Eve - what a wonderful Christmas present! If her fluid does increase tonight, then they will induce her sometime next week! Please say your prayers for the Bailey family!

Caroline and Rocky welcomed their baby boy Harrison Matthew on Wednesday December 16, 2009! He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces!

Road Trip and Updates

Road Trip:

We took Parker on his 1st road trip Saturday! We went to Memphis, TN to see my family and Michele's band performance. Parker was great in the car, but not so great once we arrived. All he needed was a good nights sleep.

Parker finally got to meet his great grandmother and grandfather, great aunt Sheri and cousin Kate. His Aunt Kitty Kat and Uncle Josh also stopped by to visit! Parker was so good during Michele's band performance - he slept all the way through the performance. Michele did a great job!

Parker's Update:

We are getting all ready for Christmas! We have been shopping, wrapping gifts and getting lunch with friends!

Parker is getting so big! He weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces. He loves to talk to us now, mostly to his daddy. It is so cute! He loves being on the changing table but still does not like having his diaper or clothes changed, however he does like baths now! He is such a big boy at night, we just lay him in his bassinet and he goes to sleep!

Preggo Friends Update:

Melinda and Caroline are both getting induced on Wednesday!! Please say your prayers for them! We are so excited! We cannot wait to know if Melinda is having a boy or a girl! Caroline is having a little boy named Harrison! Parker will have 2 new friends this week. He is so excited!
