Beckett's Birthday Party Setup Pictures!

Planning Beckett's birthday party was a lot of fun!! The birthday party had a 'Fourth of July' theme -  with BBQ and swimming! Pawpaw and Khaki were really sweet to let us have the party at their house! I had lots of 'big' ideas and plans! Fortunately, I also had lots of help with the setup, food and flowers! I cannot thank Colt, Colt's parents and sisters, Pops, my sisters, Jenna, Mrs Johnson, Austin and Brandon enough - for their time, travel, expense, and labor in helping with the party! And... a HUGE thank you to Jamie Green for traveling (on thursday) to help me shop, personalize the party, organize, move furniture, and so much more! I am so blessed to call her my friend!! I love you friend!!

Here are a ton of pictures of the setup. Lots more pictures and blogging to come!

I think the only picture missing is the cute water bottle labels :(

Beckett Thomas is ONE!

Our sweet Beckett boy is one year old! This year has gone by so fast! We are so in love with him and he is the perfect addition to our family! We are so thankful to God for choosing Colt and I to be his parents! He is truly a gift from God! I will never forget when I found out I was pregnant (I knew even before taking the test) and how excited and how much love I had for him - yes, I even had the feeling that he was a boy at that moment!

He has grown and changed so much this year! I hope we have soaked up all of the little moments with him. He has been the sweetest baby!  Some of the names we call him are B, Monkey and Brother. He is walking and into everything and can get anywhere so quietly and quickly! He wants everything his brother has... Parker and him really love each other but they are already fighting - taking toys, pushing, hair pulling and yelling. Oh my, I cannot imagine what it is going to be like in a few years... have started my prayers in preparation.

His birthday is July 1st, it fell on a Sunday this year so we were able to have his birthday party on his actual birthday! We woke up Sunday morning and Daddy, Parker and I sang Happy Birthday to him with a candle in his waffle! He loved it! Pops, Aunt Allison and Michele were in town and played with the boys while we setup for his birthday party! Pictures of his party are coming soon!

I want to thank everyone who called, texted, email and came to celebrate our sweet Beckett! We really are really thankful for our sweet family and friends who love our boys!

Beckett is WALKING!

Beckett is walking! Can you believe our sweet baby boy is walking?? He has been taking a few steps here and there but today he really started walking! We are so proud of him!

(NEW BLOG POST BELOW)

Father's Day and a Little More

The night before Father's Day Parker spent the night with Colt's parents so Colt and I took Beckett out for dinner, shopping and Steel City Pops! Beckett loved having us all to himself - he was such a little ham!

Sunday, we woke up late (of course) so we were rushing around to get out the door to head to church. So, Colt was only greeted with kisses in the morning - no breakfast (I felt bad)... We made it through Sunday School but only lasted about 3 minutes into the church service when the nursery paged us and told us Beckett was not a happy guy - he was done... so we headed home and gave Colt his gifts and cards. We gave him rainbow flip flops and new nike tennis shoes! He of course took the tennis shoes back to the store just to check and see if there was a pair he liked better - which he did. Then, we headed to meet Colt's parents at Ruth Chris!!! That was a treat for me too :) I had been dreaming about the creamed spinach since Colt's birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! After lunch we headed to meet my sisters and my Dad about an hour outside of birmingham.

Michele came back home with us and is staying for a few weeks! We love having her here! We are learning all types of teenage things - like I now know all of the band members of One Direction and what they are doing hourly according to Twitter ;) She is so helpful and great with the boys, although her and Parker's relationship has changed this week... they are fighting like brother and sister! It is so funny - I try not to let Parker see me laughing. He says things like "Shel hit you (he means me)", "No, Shel, go away" and he will shut doors so she will not come in the room.... I have NO idea what made him do this. She will be sitting by herself playing on her phone and he will start fussing at her about something...

We have spent a lot of time at the pool and playing with the boys. We took Michele to Steel City Pops and she already wants to go back. If you have not been yet you need to go! They are so yummy!! Our favorite flavors so far are blood orange, lime, chocolate, peanut butter and coffee.

Busy Summer Update!

Sorry, for my lack of blogging lately. I feel like I have so much I need to share, so I will try and catch you up!

Our summer is flying by! We have been so busy with life, traveling, friends and everything in between. Also, my sweet Beckett boy is about to be one year old!!  Can you believe it?  I am so excited, yet so sad at the same time!  I am excited that he is a heathy, growing boy and that this year with him in our life has been the best blessing!! I am sad because he is my baby and this "baby" stage is coming to an end. I have love love loved every minute of it.  Of course with his birthday coming up, I am in FULL party planning mode - how I love a party! I hope it turns out cute!

More HUGE news, Colt and I finally took the crib rail off Parker's bed!  He is a pro, we have had no problems so far! He is SO proud of his "Big boy bed like Coop Coop" and wants to show everyone! I think he has been ready for a while but Colt and I kept putting it off.  Now, I need to stop putting of potty training... maybe we'll do it next month... or maybe the next ;)

We are looking forward to my sister Michele coming in town and celebrating her 14th birthday next week! It will be so nice to have her here! And then in two weeks, Casey, Molly and Allison will be here just in time for Beckett's Birthday Party! We love our sisters!

Texas!

Colt, the boys and I headed to Dallas, Texas to see family and to celebrate Ryan's 18th birthday and graduation! We stayed with my grandparents and had a great time! The boys got lots of "sugar" from everyone! We also got to visit with a few friends - David, Addison and Julia (all cheered at Alabama)! It was so great getting to spend special time with them too!

I am going to narrate through the OVERLOAD of  pictures.
**I have 4 NEW blog posts**

Traveling to Dallas - Parker is a professional on the plane! Beckett was good but a wiggle worm ;)
