Busy Busy Busy

We have been so busy ever since Thanksgiving. We have been hanging out with friends, traveling and getting ready for Christmas! With all that has been going on, I have done a really bad job of taking pictures.... SORRY!

Last week we met the Bailey's for dinner and for the Homewood Christmas Parade! Lucky for Jenna, Maggie and I - Chris, Colt and Colt's parents took Cooper and Parker outside in the cold to watch the parade. We of course bundled the boys up! Colt and Chris left the parade and came back to eat while Colt's parents kept both boys at the parade - we all had a very peaceful meal! Thank you Pawpaw and Khaki!!!!  We also ran into all of the Wilson's after the parade it was great seeing them!

Last Friday Colt, Parker and I drove to Memphis, TN to have an early Christmas with my family. It was a quick trip but we packed a lot in! Saturday we took Allison shopping (that is what she wanted for her Christmas present) then Mamaw, Papaw and Sheri came to my parents house for dinner and gifts! We were spoiled with gifts and Parker was in heaven with SO many toys!! Colt and I also are very thankful for all of our new "toys" ;) We missed seeing my cousin Kate - she was out of town.  After everyone left Colt, the girls and I stayed up late playing 'Bamaopoly' it was a lot of fun! Sunday we woke up and did our "Christmas" morning with my family where we got lots more gifts! That afternoon we went to watch Michele's Band performance! Michele looked SO cute in her uniform and played SO good! She did get embarrassed when she took the staged and we ALL stood up waving our hands;) (she said I couldn't yell;) I am just so proud of her and wanted to make sure she knew we were there to support her! After the concert, some of my FAVORITE people in the world came to visit - Jamie and Stephen! It was great seeing them and getting to visit! After they left I went to visit my Grandmother Rose... If you could please continue to pray for her. She is back at the nursing home but is still not doing good. She could not even lift her head when I was visiting with her.... it was really hard for me.

SORRY for so many details and way too much information!  We have been up to way more - but I will stop for now.

At midnight when we arrived to Memphis! Parker was really excited!
Parker is not a fan of Mascots either! This armadillo was hanging out by Santa in the Mall...
How cute is Michele??? (on the right)

Texas Visit

Parker and I went to Dallas, Texas for 5 days to visit my Grandparents, Aunt Pat and Uncle Billy, Cousins - Debie, Tim, Ryan and Kyle and of course a few of their sweet friends! We had a good time hanging out with everyone! We were showered with love and Christmas gifts! Parker was a HAM - showed off and loved everyone! Also, Debie took Parker and I to meet Julia and Annie at Chick fil a for breakfast! It was SO great seeing them too!

I was really nervous about flying on an airplane with Parker but it went really good! The best advice I got about flying was to buy the wheels that attach to his carseat so it is like a stroller - the wheels are called Go Go Babyz.

I did not take a enough pictures at all! But here are a few!

Here Comes Santa!

We took Parker to meet Santa at the Blink Lady's house. He was not a fan of Santa... But of course I still LOVE the pictures! Memories!!
Last year he slept in santa's arms but this year Santa had a hard time holding him;)
How things change in one year!!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Colt's family at Ganny's house! There was a lot of food, family and fun! This Thanksgiving was much different than the last - Parker slept most of the day last year and this year, him and Maci were running around and playing with all of Maci's fun toys! Casey and Austin drove ALL the way from New York to be with us (and to go the Iron Bowl).  They drove 17 hours - only stopping twice!?!?! We were able to spend some good family time with them. Parker loves them both SO much!

Thanksgiving is a great "reminder" of how "thankful" and blessed we are!

Prayer Update/Memphis Trip

Prayer Update:
My Grandmother Rose is doing better - she is still in the hospital and responding well to the antibiotics and breathing treatments.  Colt and I decided not to go to Memphis because my Grandmother is highly contagious. Thank you for your prayers and I ask for you to continue to keep her and my family in your prayers.

Memphis Trip:
Parker and I went to visit my family in Memphis two weeks ago. We took Mimi out for a birthday lunch, I went shopping with Kat, went to the Memphis Zoo and had a birthday dinner for Mamaw and Mimi. As always, here are a lot of pictures!

Prayers

Please say a prayer for my Grandmother Rose (my mom's mom), she is in the hospital with double pneumonia. They are draining fluid from her lungs and she has been responding well to the breathing treatments today. Also, if you could say a prayer for my family (especially my mom) during this time.  The doctors say she is highly contagious right now, Colt and I are praying about when we need to go to Memphis, TN.

I have SO many great stories about my Grandmother Rose!! She is a loving and giving woman who loves red lipstick. She has brought a lot of joy to my life!

Here is the link to a blog about my Grandmother from September.

Parker's 1st Haircut!!

Today Colt and I took Parker to get his 1st haircut! We took Parker to see Michael at Head Start. Colt has been going to Michael since he was a little boy. It really went pretty good! We only had him cut the back and sides of his hair.  Parker sat pretty still... our trick was we had Elmo playing on Colt's iPhone! My baby is getting to be a big boy!!
