Johnston Play Date!

We took Beckett to the Beach for the 1st time - not in my belly:) Casey and Austin set up a meet the parents weekend with the Byrom and Hooper families. It was so nice meeting Austin's family, they are a super sweet family. Here are a few pictures from our weekend. Molly was sweet to take some family pictures of us!

Last Sunday, Casey came in town for a week!

On Sunday, Colt's cousin Cammy graduated from College and we celebrated with family and food. I made my cupcakes and I tried to cheat by not making the icing and it backfired... the icing was literally melting off! I was so embarrassed!

Parker spent Sunday night with Aunt Casey at Khaki and Pawpaw's house and Monday they took him to the zoo. They said he had a great time!

Wednesday, afternoon Casey and I took the boys to McWane Science Center and we had a great time hanging out!

Thursday, was Parker's 2nd day of school and his teachers said he did good but got upset when he saw the other moms coming to the door. So, from now on I am going to be ten minutes early because I do not want my baby upset!

Parker's 1st day of School!

Parker had his first day of "school" today! It is a mother's day out program that is two days a week for four hours at a church. I have been so nervous and excited for him to start! I was nervous because he has not been a fan of his Sunday School class and I have been so excited for him to be around friends his age and learn new things! One thing I LOVE about the program is that his teachers have been teaching in his class since 1982!! I think that says a lot about them and the program.

When we dropped him off he did not want to go to the teacher... but he didn't cry. I know because Colt and I waited outside the door and listened. Then, when I picked him up, he was sitting at the table with the teacher reading a book! He looked so big and when he saw me he got so excited! According to his teachers his first day went GREAT!! YAY!! We are so proud of him! I hope he continues to love it!

Catch up from Last week!

I am sorry I did not do a good job blogging last week, so here's a recap!

Colt and I started back running again last Sunday! We have been doing so good and the boys are loving going for the ride! My goal is to be able to run a half marathon in February!

Last week, I took Parker to the pediatrician to talk about getting his mucus seal removed. She agreed we should remove it... They have scheduled his surgery at Children's Hospital on September 7th at 7:15AM. Please say a prayer that everything goes smoothly and that Parker has an easy and quick recovery.

We had a few play dates with friends and Parker got to visit his new school. Then, we went and got his hair cut!

I also got to do a few things for myself! I got my haircut, went with Jenna to see "The Help" and went to dinner with the girls to celebrate Janelle's sweet baby boy Charlie! Thank you to Colt and his mom for letting me have some "Ashley Time"!!

Memphis Trip

Colt, Parker, Beckett and I all went to Memphis this weekend! It was Beckett's first time to Memphis, TN and his first time to meet several of his family members! It was a great trip and both boys did great in the car!

Friday night, Jamie and Stephen and my grandaddy Jere came over to visit, eat and love on Beckett! It was so nice having them all there! Saturday, we had brunch with Kat and Josh at Bob Evans - SO yummy! That afternoon, Allison, Beckett and I went to my friend Lindsay's baby shower. Then, we ended our night with dinner at Mamaw and Papaw's. Sunday, we got up and Allison and I went to visit my grandmother Rose. It was great seeing her - she was really chatty and funny!
