Cooper Bailey is 4 Years Old!!

Cooper turned 4 years old this past Wednesday! I cannot believe he is getting so big! We knew we were not going to be able to make his birthday party so we met the Bailey's at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his real birthday. We had a lot of fun and ended the night with some ice cream! Parker actually ate some... Colt and I were so excited because usually Parker won't even try it - silly boy!

Colt's 29th Birthday!!

Colt turned 29 years old on March 24! We are finally the same age :) I had planned a birthday dinner with friends and a golf weekend for him in Memphis... but after his grandaddy passed away, we did not go up.  I am so far behind on blogs, I feel like I need to blog more on his grandfather's beautiful funeral and all the sweet calls, cards and emails Colt and I have received - thank you all so much.

Tuesday, before Colt's birthday I invited his parents, Ganny, Ami and Maci over for an early birthday celebration and to celebrate Colt's parents wedding anniversary - 32 years!!  I originally planned this because I thought we would be out of town and I wanted him to be with his family.  It was a really nice night, Parker and Maci played so well together and I loved chatting with everyone. It was a mexican theme - Colt's request! (and Parker helped me cook)

Ice Cream Cake (I made it)

Since we did not get to go to Memphis, I still wanted to celebrate Colt's birthday.   So Friday night, I surprised him with a date night to Ruth's Chris (we had a gift card) and a movie of his choice! Sweet Ana was SO great to come and sit at our house last minute while the boys slept so we could go out! We had the BEST meal! We have eaten there several times before and the cream spinach is always good... but that night was the BEST I have ever had.... It is making me want it now! Yum! It was nice night out to enjoy each other and celebrate his birthday.

 Date Night at Ruth's Chris!!
I got him Alabama Cufflinks!
I know it does not look good.... but it was SO yummy!!

Saturday was Colt's actual birthday, so Parker, Beckett and I made him chocolate pancakes (Daddy's request) and had a great day spending time together. After nap, we met his parents and sisters at the park for a picnic.  Then we ended the night with a surprise from Aunt Rosie and Sandra! They came in town to go to Colt's grandfather's funeral.

 Happy Birthday Daddy!

The last surprise for Colt was his peanut butter and chocolate cake from Dreamcakes! Kaite Moon was so sweet to make it with less than 24 hours notice! The boys and I did not get to stay for cake because Parker started running a fever (he ended up having hand, foot and mouth.)  Long story - short, it was awful!

Colt's Dreamcake!

Happy birthday to my husband, father of our children, and 'my life'.
I love you and thank God daily for you!

Prayer Request

Colt's grandfather, Gene Burnette, passed away this morning. Please keep Colt and his family in your prayers over the next few days and weeks.

Grandaddy Gene was a sweet and funny man and we will all miss him very much!!

Spring Break

My sisters were on Spring Break this past week so they came to spend the week with us! Pops and Mimi split the week and came too! It was nice having them here... we had a lot of fun and they were a ton of help with the boys. We did a lot of window shopping, went to 2 movies, cooked and ate out a bunch and played with the boys! The girls have a few restaurants that they really like in Birmingham.

I am going to miss them! I love that they love being here with us!!

Randomness

Last Thursday, was full of doctor appointments... I setup a sick appointment for the boys, and I had a dermatologist appointment, which are not that easy to get into so I didn't want to cancel.  Plus, it has been 5 years since I had been. So, me and my sweet boys made it through 3 hours of doctors appointments. They were hilarious at their appointment they were playing and fighting over the paper on the table, it was so funny! Thankfully, they only had colds!!!

Saturday, I ran my first 5K with Colt! Out of 22 women in my age group I placed 10th, I was so excited I actually ran it!! I had been trying to back out all week :)

Colt has been working long days and nights. So, the boys and I have been trying to soak him up when he is home! I kept the boys up late Saturday night and we took them to ride the carousel at the mall. We love our sweet family time with just the four of us!! I LOVE my guys!
