Doctor and Grandaddy Gene's Birthday!

Today, I had my 6 week checkup. I have great news to report that my blood pressure was great and I can stop taking the medicine! Praise God!!! I might have done a praise God dance in the bathroom at the doctors office... I really do have the best doctor and love everyone there! Another, great surprise was sweet Lindsey put a big picture of Beckett in the main hallway of the office and when everyone realized Beckett was in the office they all wanted to see him! They all could not stop talking about how much they LOVED his picture!! So, I guess he is famous;)

After, nap today we went with Colt's mom to see Grandaddy because he turned 84 years old today! She was so sweet and gave him a birthday party! She brought homemade cupcakes and ice cream! They all loved it... it was ALL ladies that came to his party - too cute!!

Oral Surgeon and The Park

This morning Colt and I took Parker to meet with the Oral Surgeon. He was very nice and Parker was SO big and let him look in his mouth! I was surprised again at how good he was! Parker was really funny with the doctor too! The doctor recommended that we go ahead and remove it.... it was not what I wanted him to say. However, he said we can take our time and think about it and that there is no rush. So that gives me a little more prayer time! I am going to schedule an appointment with Parker's pediatrician to talk it over with her. He will have the surgery at Children's Hospital.

After, the appointment I took Parker and Beckett to the Park! After lunch he took a 2 hour and 45 minute nap!! That is almost unheard of these days! While he and Beckett napped, I read "The Help" which I finished... so I am so excited to see the movie now!

Parker's First Dentist Appointment

Parker went to the dentist for the first time today! We were pleasantly surprised and shocked at how good he was!! I was prepared for a totally different experience. Colt and I are SO proud of him!! His teeth looked great, but they are referring us to an oral surgeon because he has a mucus seal on the inside of his bottom lip . We are going on Wednesday, will you please say a prayer that the doctor is not concerned about it! It is not painful for him so that is good! Here are a few pictures of our sweet big boy!

Fun Times Recap!

Thursday, sweet Aunt Tami and Ana came to visit! It was so great seeing them and letting them love on the boys!

Friday afternoon, I took the boys all by myself to the park and daddy came to meet us after work. Then Justin, Melinda and Evan brought the best dinner ever! We had a great time hanging out and watching the boys play!

Saturday, was our 6 year anniversary!! We had family fun day then we dropped the boys off at Khaki and Papaw's. We celebrated our 6 year anniversary with dinner and shopping!

Sunday, Colt, Beckett and I were able to catch up on some rest because Parker spent the night with Pawpaw and Khaki and went to church with them. Sunday, afternoon we surprised Ganny at Olive Garden to celebrate her 75th birthday! We had a great time with family! Parker had the best time playing with all of his cousins!

Happy Anniversary!

August 6th, 2005 seems like just yesterday! It was a wonderful day!! It is crazy to think that Colt and I have been together almost 10 years, been married for 6 years, and we have 2 beautiful boys! Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband and father to our two boys! I love that we are still playing house!

Beckett is 1 Month Old!

Beckett turned one month old this past Monday! I cannot believe how quickly time passes. Beckett is the perfect addition to our family. We are SO in LOVE!! I am not sure what we did without him. We are so thankful to God for blessing our family with two beautiful boys!

Things we have learned so far about Beckett:

He is so sweet, calm and laid back
Eats (nursing) every 3 to 4 hours during the day. At night will go 4 to 6 hours!
Sleeps a lot still
His cry is so quiet (compared to Parker's)
We think he is going to be a Mommy's boy ;)
Likes baths most of the time
He has dimples and long toes
He has great aim - peed on Daddy's face, Mommy's arm and the wall

We went for Beckett's 1 month doctor appointment today. It went great! He is growing so fast!

His stats:

Weight - 9 Pounds 3 Ounces (Gained 3 pounds in 1 month)

Inches - 21 1/4 inches

Boys and Strollers and Dogs

Here is an attempt to get a picture of the boys together. It was pretty funny trying to position the boys, make Parker smile, not let Beckett get injured and try to take the picture.

The last two pictures are right before we went on our walk... we have been trying to go walking every night! We are also taking Bentley so he can burn some energy. I know poor Tyson is left at home but he is so strong and if we see another dog it is not good... he has to take walks later at night when NO dogs are out. Well on our walks, Parker is insisting on holding Bentley's leash. It is so funny but he really does a good job! Usually by the end of the walk Bentley is riding in the stroller too. What is also so funny is Bentley gets more looks and "cute" comments than the two cutest boys EVER riding in the stroller with him.

Brother LOVE!

Colt and I LOVE having two boys!! They are both so sweet, and so different, yet alike at the same time. Parker is so in love with Beckett! He loves hugging, kissing, helping and showing him off! Here are a few more iPhone pictures of our sweet boys!
