Dallas, Texas

Colt, Parker and I flew to Dallas, Texas last weekend and stayed with my grandparents! We had a great time seeing all of my family and friends. Colt took a real estate investing class Thursday and Friday (He left the house at 6AM and did not get home until after 6PM) he had long days but really enjoyed and learned a lot from the class. He has several more to take and is looking forward to them... I would not be excited about having to take a class again...

Thursday, Aunt Pat took us to her school and Parker and I met her principal and co-workers! I never had a principal or vice principal that were so sweet and cute when I was in school! (Look below at their picture) We went shopping and I got to see my grandparents friends, Sue and Johnny's big, new, beautiful home! And last but not least, we all went to El Fenix for dinner. The food was so good, they have the best chips ever!

Friday, Aunt Pat and I helped Grandmother and Grandaddy get ready for their cookout! They had 38 family and friends come over to see Colt, Parker and I... of course, Parker was the main attraction! We had a great time visiting with everyone!

Saturday, my cousin Debie took us to north Dallas to go shopping and to get lunch with my friend, Julia, and her sweet little girl, Annie!! It was SO great seeing Julia! I cheered with her at Alabama my freshmen year in college and it's been 5 years since I have seen her! She of course looks fabulous and her little girl is a doll! I really wish we could have had longer to catch up... after she left, I felt like I could cry, a good cry;) Saturday night ended with a yummy dinner with my family and a little UNO.... Colt won the game but he needs to work on his UNO dance. (UNO is mine and my Aunt Pat's game... if you play with us, you play by our rules;)

Sunday, we had breakfast with my grandparents, Aunt Pat and Uncle Billy! Then we had to pack and head for the airport... Also Sunday, was Colt's first "official" Father's Day!! We of course celebrated last year too! Parker gave him a card when he got up in Dallas, I gave him a card on the airplane and we opened his gifts when we got home. We are hoping to have a date night this week to top off his Father's Day celebration!

A few things I am leaving out - the highlight of my trip and the thing I look most forward to is my grandmother's homemade gravy and biscuits (we called them "Ducks")!! She makes them for me everyday that I am with her! I might have gained 10 pounds last week... but, it is all worth it!! Parker got some pretty cute outfits from my Grandmother and Aunt Pat bought him a Cowboys jersey!! Parker was a really good boy! He also learned a few things while we where there: almost standing all by himself, he is a mommy's boy and was saying "MAMA" (Go grandmother and Aunt Pat for helping with that!)! He has been great on the planes so Colt and I are very thankful!!

I want to thank my family for a wonderful time!
