Anyways, we were able to clean a lot out and have a yard sale. A little rant about yard sales (please feel free to skip.) I am not a fan of yard sales - because I feel SO awkward and when you have something priced at $2 that is $50 new and someone walks up and says "will you take 25 cents for this?".... I always just say "Yes" because I do not want to be rude and also because I just feel uncomfortable... I know you guys are surprised by this because normally I am very social and will talk to anyone :) So, my main job for the yard sale was "advertising" on craigslist and newspaper and I literally price EVERY single item. I like it to be organized and I think the 'customers' like it too! It took several nights but I got it done! Colt, then has to organize it outside and sits outside taking money... Overall, it was a major success!! We were able to donate money and clothing to Dawson's Kids Connection. If you have not heard about Dawson's Kids Connection - it is a great ministry that you should checkout if you know a family in need.
Colt and I are so excited and feel so blessed that we sold our house and for our new adventure but we learned that we do not like moving... I have so much respect for all of you who have moved a lot. There were a few moments when I was trying to pack with two little boys and starting to question if we were making the right decision. After a week or more with no sleep we finally got packed, moved and mostly unpacked. We are thankfully in a really nice rental house with a basement so we are leaving most everything in boxes and we are not hanging anything on the walls. Something else that is so great about the our rental house is it is on the same street as the house we are going to build!! We still have to finalized our plans before we can start but we are getting excited!!
The boys have adjusted so well! Beckett, had a few nights where it took him a while to fall asleep but other than that they love the new house! Tyson loves this house too because he gets to stay out in the house all day. We have had a few issues with the house so far - water heater, the air conditioning going out and bugs... but we have gotten all of those taken care of now!
Parker had to say goodbye to his friend, Mrs. Frances, our sweet neighbor. We went and visited her yesterday! I think both boys were excited and confused... they kept running into our old yard and Parker was asking for his water toys and was telling Mrs. Frances "Old House, Mommy's House" :(
Colt's mom and I found Parker sitting like this in his new room... On moving day
This park backs up to our rental house! The boys love walking there!
Toy from Aunt Cay from France - entertained forever!
While I was trying to get our rental house organized.
I love babies with just diapers on!
Sliders - our 1st meal in the rental house
Movies on labtop when you have no cable - Parker LOVED it!
