Two new (and long) blog posts tonight!
Parker is becoming this little person and we are loving it! He is so sweet, talkative, imaginative, silly, happy, cute, witty, smart and protective and we just cannot get enough of him!! He is such a joy!! He still has his moments of breakdowns during the day and some are so bad they make me want to cry but I think that is still normal :)
His communicating skills were starting to worry me because he was behind some of his friends. But, now he is really communicating and comprehending so well - it has changed our world. We are able to ask him questions and he responds like such a big boy and he can tell you things he remembers, things he did, etc. He can also tell you most all of his needs and wants - which is so nice, or sometimes overwhelming when he repeats it a 100 times :)
HUGE news! My child potty trained himself!! I think he knew that I was never going to do it ;) and so a few weeks ago he said "Mommy I pee pee in potty." It is still a work in progress. He would hold his pee all day long if I let him and he is scared to go poop now... but, the only time he wears a diaper is at night. He has not had any accidents this week!!
Things I really want to remember:
- He is starting to really play pretend and he thinks he is a Doctor and will give you a "Check up" with his doctor kit and say "Feel better?" and He will say "Mommy tummy hurt? Need check up?" "Mommy, need band aid?" - warms my heart!
- He loves going to Mommy and Me Bootcamp - he says "I go workout." What is so funny about this is when Colt (and Papaw) go to work he says "Daddy and Papaw workout" - Colt says that Parker thinks all he and his dad do all day is run and lift weights :) When I ask him during the day if he wants to call daddy - he says "Daddy not answer" before we even call him :( he already knows he is busy.
- Pawpaw drove his red sports car to our house and I told Parker that one day when he got bigger Pawpaw would let him ride in it and Parker said "Yea, and go to Chuck E Cheese" - he remembers Colt's dad promising to take him there a week or so before.
- My grandmother Bonnie has really been pushing me to potty train Parker and so when he started going on the potty I would have him call and tell her. Now every time he talks to her he is saying "Granmuda, I go Pee Pee ALLLL by myself"
- Getting into the car, he said, "I not crying mommy so I watch show" - 1st time Colt and I knew he understood what we were saying!! You should have seen how excited we were!!
- Driving by any playground he sees from the car "Mommy I play there" - sometimes is followed by tears if we do not stop.
- He thinks all birthday parties and birthday cakes are called "Happy Days" - Makes my heart smile
- "One more time" about everything he wants to keep doing...
- When a toy is broken he says "It boken, Daddy fix"
- He is protective over Beckett - he tries to help him but sometimes it does not look like help.. For example: If Beckett is getting too close to the stairs he will say "No no Beck, dangous" while he pulls at the back of his shirt pulling Beckett to the ground... that is just one of many throughout the day.
"Too Youd" (too loud), "Too bright", "I not do that anymore"
-Talks about himself in the third person "Parker wakeup from long nap", "Parker go pee pee"...etc.
And my favorites:
"Mommy Mommy watch me!"
"Mommy, I love you!" - When I am sitting he runs up from behind and will hug my neck and kiss me.... I cannot even handle this!! LOVE this boy!!!!!! We are so thankful to God for our sweet Parker!!!!!
This is his special hug he gives me - LOVE LOVE LOVE
This boy loves popcorn!
Still loves this at the zoo :)
He LOVES cookies too!
He asks to "Get sugar cookie" several times during the week and he insists to sit down at bakery and eat at the table! I love that he wants to sit down and eat his cookie with me - special times, I know:)
Mommy and Me bootcamp - he decided it was time I advance to weighted pushups!
Cool Dude!
