The Beach in November

We made it to the beach! The boys were so great in the car... Praise God!  We did let Parker enjoy a few movies, M&M's and a ring pop. Thankfully, candy does not seem to affect him!  Beckett was so sweet, he slept most of the way. We stopped about three hours into our trip so I could nurse Beckett in the car and so Colt and Parker could run around and play.

The condo we are staying in is very nice! It is across the street from the beach and below our balcony there is a heated pool! I have already sent a thank you email to the sweet couple who donated their beach home to Parker's school fundraiser. We picked up dinner to go from the Crab Trap - people who have been reading my blog know it is my favorite! We got unloaded and both boys in bed (Pack N Plays) before 8PM! Below are a few pictures from bath time. Parker and Beckett LOVE each other! I am praying that Colt and I are soaking in all of these little sweet moments.

Preparing for Thanksgiving

Colt, Parker, Beckett and I are going to the beach for Thanksgiving!! At Parker's school fundraiser we won a 4 night stay at the Beach! We are so excited about our first family vacation with just the four of us! I have been preparing for our trip for a few weeks now and planning our Thanksgiving menu. I am a pretty picky eater so I am pretty pumped about our Thanksgiving "feast". I have made, and froze, a green bean and rice casserole and Ganny's dressing - Ganny shared the recipe with me just for Colt and he is so excited! Tomorrow, we will keep them in the cooler on the way down and put them in the refrigerator to finish thawing out for Thursday.  I have also prepared some ingredients for the other things I will be cooking on Thursday.  We will have to go to the store when we arrive but I am trying to make everything as easy and organized as possible.

Side note: Both casseroles were really big so I split each casserole into two containers and froze them as well. Now we can have a "Thanksgiving" meal in a few weeks when I am not in the mood to cook dinner! This is a great idea for anyone cooking for two, you don't end up with ton of leftovers and you have a whole side dish or meal in the freezer for another day.

It's Official

I have been waiting to post this until it was official... but our sweet little dog Bentley is now living with our cousin Ana (and of course - Uncle Jim and Aunt Tami too)! Bentley has been my baby for 6 years but the past two years I have not been able to give him the love and attention he has needed. We started a "trial run" about a month ago to see if it would workout for everyone and it has! I feel so sad and guilty that I could not handle Bentley anymore, it was a hard decision that we have been considering since Parker was born. Plus, his barking and waking up the babies was making me lose my mind.

Ana has been keeping Tyson and Bentley for the past few years when we go out of town. She LOVES Bentley (like I do!) so I know she is the perfect mama to him!! We are SO grateful to her and her parents for allowing Bentley to become a part of their family. I have not even worried once about Bentley (at all - which is not like me) because I know he is getting spoiled rotten and I know he is LOVING every second of it!

Today, Ana and Bentley stopped by and got the rest of his things - including his FULL wardrobe! I forgot just how many clothes he has! We were all excited to see him - even Tyson! For everyone who is worried about Tyson missing Bentley - he does not miss him at all, he has the house all to himself again and loves it! The reason we did not consider give Tyson away he is much more laid back than Bentley.

Disney on Ice

Our friends Reynolds and Melanie invited us to Disney on Ice. They ended up going to the Alabama vs LSU game and invited Colt and his dad to go too. So, Parker and I asked Lisa and Addie to go with us! Khaki watched Beckett for me while we took the kiddos to the show. They were SO good and SO cute together! Parker set in my lap and watched while he ate an entire box of popcorn!
