A friend recommended this book to me and I thought I would share! I consider myself a pretty organized person but this book takes it to a whole new level! I love it :) A perfect read before moving into the new house. Just a warning, I plan on getting rid of A LOT... and I thought I had already done that during the move into the rental house.
A few highlights that I took from the book:
1. Making a purpose statement for your family - Colt and I have always had one but she explains it well and how to really set it in motion and use it daily.
2. What you actually need in your home and what can go. Why are you holding on to something - is it for you or because you do not want to hurt someone's feelings or don't want to be wasteful?
3. Where are you spending your time? Are you making the best decisions to meet your family's needs. She really puts watching TV into perspective...
4. "The way you handle your finances and the transactions in your bank account should reflect your convictions about life. Do they?"
5. "Simple living doesn't happen automatically"
6. Placing a higher priority on relationships and events than on tangible things.
